The South coast of Iceland holds some of the most beautiful natural attractions in country
The South of Iceland has some of the country’s most diverse nature. Glacial rivers, black sands, vast meadows and lakes of all sorts and places known world-wide for their beauty and wonder. The South is rich with volcanic formations in the landscape and geothermal energy.
Our first stop on this tour is the Lava Iceland Volcano and Earthquake Centre at Hvolsvollur town. There you will have a glimps of Iceland´s volcanic and seismic life. Then a stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall, a natural wonder with water dropping some 60 m. Next stop at Skogafoss waterfall, where you can see the former Icelandic coastline. From there we visit Reynisfjara black pebble beach and basalt columns. Our last stop is at Dyrholaey natural reserve to view the Reynisdrangar needles, who were believed to be two trolls at one point in history.
